RSS Feeds

RSS feeds automatically share blog posts with other websites or apps. With the Springboard you're able to incorporate external articles or blog posts using RSS Feeds. You can also easily promote your own blog as an RSS Feed to extend your visibility. This helps more people see your content without you having to manually share it each time.

What You Can Do with RSS Feeds

With the Springboard's RSS feed feature, you can:

  • Create different feeds for different categories of content
  • Let visitors subscribe to only the topics they're interested in
  • Connect your content to social media platforms or email newsletters
  • Increase the visibility of your blog posts across the web
  • Import articles from external RSS feeds into your site

RSS feeds are particularly valuable for reaching audiences who use feed readers or for syndicating your content to other websites. They provide a standardized way for your content to be consumed outside of your website. They also make it easy for you to share pertinent information with your website visitors by posting RSS Feeds from external sources.

Content Workflows

A content workflow helps you organize how you create and update your website content. Efficient workflows save you time and help ensure your website stays current and relevant.

Planning Your Content Strategy

While planning your content strategy, consider:

  • Scheduling regular updates to keep your website fresh
  • Coordinating content publication with marketing campaigns
  • Establishing a review schedule for existing content
  • Creating a consistent publishing cadence for blog posts

A well-maintained content strategy ensures your website stays fresh and relevant to your audience.

Best Practices for Content Organization

  • Start with a plan: Before creating content, plan what pages you need and how they should be organized.

  • Use consistent naming: Give your blog posts, templates, and content blocks clear, descriptive names that follow the same pattern.

  • Use draft pages for major changes: For significant content changes, create draft pages to preview your work before publishing. Using draft pages instead of creating new pages reduces clutter in your site structure.

  • Organize with categories: Use categories strategically for your blog posts to control where they appear on your site.

  • Reuse successful content: If a page or blog post is popular with visitors, use it as a template for future content.

  • Check your links: Regularly make sure that all links in your content are working correctly.

Common Content Organization Challenges

Here are some common challenges you might encounter when organizing your website content, along with general guidance.

Blog Content Not Displaying as Expected

If your content isn't appearing where you expect it to:

  • Check the publication date and time for your post.
  • Verify that the category assigned to the blog post is the category set to display on the page you're viewing.
  • Ensure you've saved all changes.

Locating Content to Update

If you're having trouble locating content:

  • Confirm you're in the correct area of your Springboard. Is the content you're looking for a blog, a standard page, or a content block?
  • If you aren't sure where to update something, check the content blocks.
